About the Speakers

Dr. AV SINGH, PHD
Agronomist with Gaia Green and Cannabis Micro-Cultivator in Canada

Dr. Av Singh is one of the leading authorities on organic cannabis production. After completing his post-doc at the University of Minnesota on pasture-based livestock production, Dr. Singh worked at the Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada and served as the Organic and Small-Scale Farming Specialist in Nova Scotia, for over 15 years, and recently held the Just Us! Chair in Small Farm Sustainability. 

Currently, Dr. Av Singh and his colleague Randy Flemming serve as Cultivation Advisors within the cannabis industry. Dr. Singh is also an agronomist with Gaia Green and a cannabis micro-cultivator in Canada. He formerly served as the Chief Science Officer with Green Gorilla (a Cannabidiol Company) and as the Chief Agronomist with the American Cannabis Company. 
Ryan Wankel
Cannabis Grower Liaison at Heliospectra

A second-generation cannabis grower with 25 years of cultivation expertise, Ryan has led commercial teams at large-scale facilities in Denver, Colorado. He earned multiple cannabis cup awards and created successful transitions for his grow operations from traditional HPS to new LED technologies before joining Heliospectra. He now leads cultivation training, provides technical consulting for NCIA members and develops strain-specific lighting strategies with customers.

Mike Bogolawski
Technical Sales Manager, Ag/Greenhouse Division at Hanna Instruments

With over 25 years of experience in the fertigation industry, Mike specializes in helping growers design and integrate fertilizer injection, pH, as well as chlorination and irrigation controls into cannabis, hydroponic, and greenhouse facilities. At Hanna Instruments, he works with growers every step of the way to provide a customized and tailored fertigation solution for their growing operation. Mike shares his fertigation expertise and knowledge to help growers optimize plant growth and increase yield.
